The short version

Make No Mistakes does not operate user accounts, advertising, analytics, or an app backend for Board Control. We do not sell personal information, track you across apps or websites, or build profiles about how you use the app.

What stays on your device

Your settings, favorites, and player ratings are stored on your device. Make No Mistakes does not receive them. They are removed when the app is deleted, although they may remain in an Apple-managed device backup and return if you restore that backup.

The computer opponent

Board Control’s Play mode uses Maia-2, a chess model that runs entirely on your device. Your moves against it are computed locally and are not sent anywhere.

Where we have no choice: Game Center

Board Control uses Apple Game Center for optional multiplayer. If you use it, the app receives the Game Center display names and player identifiers needed to show the match and distinguish its players. Apple handles authentication and matchmaking, and stores the match’s move history and outcome.

Make No Mistakes does not receive your Apple Account credentials and does not use Game Center information for advertising or analytics. Apple’s handling of this information is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy and your Game Center settings.

If you contact us

If you email support, we receive whatever you choose to send, along with your email address. We use it to answer your message and keep it only as long as it is useful for support, recordkeeping, or a legal obligation. We do not add it to a marketing list.

This website

This site uses no advertising cookies and runs no audience analytics. Our hosting provider may process ordinary technical information, such as an IP address and request details, to deliver and protect the site.

Children

Board Control does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The same local-storage and Game Center descriptions above apply to every user.

Your choices and deletion

You can stop Board Control’s local processing by deleting the app. Game Center information and controls are managed through Apple. Make No Mistakes has no server-held Board Control account or gameplay profile to export or delete.

Changes

If Board Control’s practices change, this page and its effective date will change with them.
